Rikert Drone Policy

To ensure the safety, privacy, and enjoyment of all guests, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs or “drones”) are strictly prohibited at Rikert Outdoor Center at all times, including during operating hours, events, and races.

Exceptions may be granted only under the following conditions:

• The drone is operated by Middlebury College’s authorized media team for official marketing, documentation, or safety purposes; or

• The operator has received prior written approval from the Rikert Outdoor Center Manager, including proof of FAA certification and insurance, and has agreed to all safety guidelines and flight restrictions set by Rikert and Middlebury College.

Unauthorized drone use will result in immediate removal from the premises and may be subject to additional action under local, state, or federal laws.
